Service Description

Our Microbiology Testing for Feed and Forages service ensures the safety and quality of the feed and forage you provide to your animals. This testing identifies harmful microorganisms such as molds, yeast, bacteria, and mycotoxins that can compromise animal health and performance. By detecting potential contamination, our microbiology tests help prevent digestive issues, illnesses, and reduced feed efficiency, allowing you to confidently provide safe, high-quality nutrition for your livestock or pets. 1. Mold Identification ($90 CAD): Our Mold Identification Test is designed to detect, identify, and quantify mold species present in your feed or forage. Mold can compromise the quality of animal nutrition, leading to reduced feed intake, poor digestion, and health issues. This test helps you assess the extent of mold contamination and identify specific mold types, allowing you to take corrective action to ensure the safety and nutritional quality of your feed, promoting optimal animal health and performance. 2. Full Mycotoxin Panel ($275): Our Full Mycotoxin Panel Test provides a comprehensive screening for a wide range of harmful mycotoxins that can develop in feed and forage, including aflatoxins, fumonisins, DON (vomitoxin), zearalenone, and ochratoxin, among others. Mycotoxins can negatively impact animal health, leading to reduced growth, immune suppression, and reproductive issues. This test identifies and quantifies the presence of these toxic compounds, helping you make informed decisions about feed safety and quality. By addressing potential mycotoxin contamination, you can safeguard your animals' health and ensure optimal performance.
